I've been here many times, and today I decided to stop in for a cappuccino because I wanted a nice quiet place to work on a project. The amount of books they have is amazing. It's like they took all your favorite authors and put them in one coffee shop, combining the best of both worlds. Lots of little nooks to read and relax while having a beverage, or a bite to eat. It's definitely a great place if you just need a moment to yourself and de-stress or just an intimate coffee date. The owners are also always friendly and welcoming.

If you need a special place to have the best coffee of Toronto, this is your place! Or, if you want just to hang out, meet lovely people, study, writing, read or buy books, this is your place! In general, food is great in price and flavour: the coffee is perfect (many options); bagels, cookies and butter tarties are delicious; and the banana bread is amazing!! The music? This shop plays the best playlist you´ll listen to! What about people? The loved ones for sure! The Big Guy´s is a little local coffee shop, where everyone is welcome!

My local coffee haunt. Many of the my friends and neighbours come here. Great coffee and books and the owners add much colour to the coffee shop. Not a cookie cutter coffee shop.

Drinking a coffee in this place is an experience I’ve never had before. The music, the books, the plants and the welcoming host makes it a unique place. Plus the coffee was actually really good!

I stopped in here on a Saturday morning to grab coffee before my knitting lesson. I was so charmed by the hilarious banter and warm community I encountered! Everyone here is so funny and sweet. You can tell it's an integral gathering place for its regulars. Thanks for adding some much needed levity to my day! The coffee was great, too.

Strong coffee and friendly service. Attached to a book store. Takes cash and card. Though it’s small has different seating nooks and one larger table if you need to get a few things done.

This cafe is super quaint, homely and comforting. The whole place has a super chill vibe and is a great place to read a book or chat while sipping a drink It's also super affordable Mocha and Chai latte were delicious!! (Edit: I read a previous review that found the Chai latte a bit mild - the owner seems to have switched back to bagged Chai and it was really nice)
